Chapter9

Doesn’t his wife even care? Lu Qin was drafting an outline on the computer when, after completing just a few sections, his thoughts drifted completely away.

She sighed, checked the time, and realized it was already past eight in the evening.

So I got up and made myself a cup of coffee.

After drinking coffee, mental focus significantly improves.

Lu Qin began meticulously drafting the outline, creating tables that listed all key points and inspiration sources, along with relevant reference diagrams.

Excessive text can cause visual fatigue for her.

So she drafted the outline as concisely as possible—just enough to make it easy for her to understand.

During the editing process, she received a message stating that someone had inquired about the copyright of her previously viral comic for a radio drama adaptation, and the editor proposed a price.

Lu Qin doesn’t understand these things

She had signed a contract with the website, and the terms of revenue sharing were clearly stated.

The website only sells at high prices.

It’s impossible to sell it at a low price.

So she wasn’t worried and replied that the agency authority lay with the website; once they reached an agreement, they would simply let her know.

Edit reply: OK.

Lu Qin checked the time and realized it was already past ten in the evening—still early. She decided to gather more information and try to incorporate as much content as possible into the outline.

“Bang, bang, bang!” Suddenly, someone started knocking on the door.

Having experienced being pursued by a pervert before, Lu Qin now lived in constant fear—any slight disturbance could terrify her immensely! The door was made of rosewood but lacked a peephole.

Lu Qin stepped out of the bedroom, once again using the vacuum cleaner in the corner as a weapon. She swallowed hard and slowly approached the door.

She’s not that stupid.

You certainly wouldn’t open the door unless you know who it is.

She dared not make a sound, fearing that others outside might realize she was alone at home. Suddenly, an idea struck her, and she rushed to the balcony! “Mo Senlin! Mo Senlin!” She shouted, only then realizing her voice was trembling slightly.

The fingers are also shaking.

In the pitch-black, tranquil night sky, her voice stood out abruptly—neither too high nor too low.

Lu Qin made sure that Mofenlin could hear what was being said, but that the person outside couldn’t hear it either.

She was utterly anxious, feeling as if her heart were about to burst out of her throat; the only person she could trust was the stranger she had saved that day.

Although they had just met, the man warned her not to trust strangers.

They also tried to intimidate her in order to make her remember.

The intermittent knocking continued. Lu Qin thought the person probably hadn’t heard her voice, so she called out to Mo Senlin again twice.

The floor-to-ceiling window on the adjacent balcony suddenly opened.

Mo Senlin must have just woken up; his hair was disheveled, his eyes drowsy, and he looked at Lu Qin next door with a hint of confusion.

Lu Qin was on the verge of tears: “Help! Save me!”  “What’s wrong?” Mo Senlin instantly regained consciousness.

Lu Qin sniffed through her nose: “Someone’s knocking on my door; I don’t dare make a sound. Could you… could you come over and check?” Mo Senlin replied, “Sure, just stay put.” He immediately turned and entered. Lu Qin obeyed perfectly—she remained motionless on the balcony, still clutching the vacuum cleaner tightly in her hand.
