Chapter 19: The Trending Sand Sculptures

One wonders if they are thinking about what was said last night at this moment.

Nan Yue didn’t give any likes carelessly, nor did she pay much attention to the posts; she even deleted her Weibo account and focused entirely on grilling meat.

Last night I had kanto-ju; although breakfast was quite substantial, most dishes were vegetarian. This is the first time since returning from South Vietnam that I’ve actually eaten meat properly.

Given that this was merely a mortal body, Nan Yue ate slowly with graceful posture; after one meal of grilled meat, she truly experienced the sensation of enjoying a French feast at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

By the time she finished eating, the customers in the restaurant had changed twice, and lunchtime had long passed.

Amid the admiring looks of the staff, Nanyue scanned the QR code to pay and even received a discount coupon.

After having a hearty meal and drink, Nan Yue found a spot at a flower-and-bird market. After browsing around, all he ended up with was a pot of aloe vera.

Some plants possess an innate abundance of spiritual energy, but in today’s world, you’d probably have to search deep in remote forests to find them.

It can also be acquired later in life, specifically when the spiritual energy is relatively weak.

It’s basically the difference between wild and cultivated varieties.

When she practiced cultivation, her spiritual roots were neither particularly special nor unusual—merely highly orthodox and pure dual roots of wood and water elements.

It sounds soothing, but in reality it’s highly lethal—especially within the realm of cultivation, where mountains and waters abound, forming its primary battlefields.

However, in the future, it will likely have to develop mainly towards a healing-oriented direction.

In major cities like City A, it’s hardly surprising that there can be no plants that are both naturally occurring and truly vibrant or full of character.

This aloe plant is the only one with even a slight potential worth nurturing further.

Upon returning to the hotel, Nan Yue first took a shower and changed into clothes free of any barbecue odor. Then he laid out the yoga mat he had bought on his way back and began practicing yoga.

This body is also called Nanyue—a name not chosen lightly, as it demonstrates an unexpectedly high degree of integration with her original spirit.

In just one day, the cultivation level at the second stage of Qi refinement began to show an upward trend.

She had few friends, her family didn’t care about her, and none of the other contestants showed much respect for her.

Thus, Nan Yue continued practicing until evening without any disturbance.

After waking up from sleep, I was greeted once again by the “Good morning” message from 005, along with a reminder to complete the side quests.

Nan Yue was usually very clear-headed; however, upon hearing this reminder, he couldn’t help but feel confused for a moment.

“What did I do again?” How come something like that instantly trends? Is it really that easy to get trending these days? Instead of answering her, 005 simply opened the trending topic for her to see.

“What does it feel like not gaining weight?” As Nan Yue had just completed her yoga pose on the mat, she couldn’t help but smile upon seeing this topic.

“What kind of absurd trending topic is this again?”  “Host, in fan community terms, you’ve gone viral beyond your original circle.” Going viral means transcending your fan base and gaining recognition among a broader audience. As Nan Yue reflected on what it means to go viral, she continued browsing until she came across a video—and that’s exactly why she ended up on such an absurd trending list.

She’s a well-known blogger on Weibo who posted a video of herself eating, originally to find out if she’s a food streaming host.

As a result, someone recognized her, drawing a crowd of fans to gather around.

These days, food streaming is already extremely popular, so this video quickly became a hit.

Some of her critics initially tried to stir up controversy, but were quickly outmaneuvered by a group of food streaming enthusiasts eager to obtain her live-streaming account details.

After watching the video, Nan Yue was deeply moved.

This video features the kanto-don at a convenience store from the night before last, the free breakfast at the hotel yesterday morning, and the barbecue meal enjoyed at a restaurant yesterday noon.

All in all, I only had three meals out there, and without exception, every single one of them was secretly filmed.

This was all before she even made her debut and became well-known.

Only now did Nan Yue truly realize how profoundly the three words “Sheng Jingheng” had influenced her.
